Best Buy dropped

The catalyst: Best Buy said that despite offering bigger discounts, they experienced weak demand for gadgets during the holiday selling season. The trade: Before you make a move, ask yourself, can they compete with Amazon, counsels Zach Karabell. The market is highly skeptical.Valero dropped The catalyst: Credit Sussie cut 1Q EPS citing weak retail margins, VLO specific refinery maintenance and weak ethanol margins. The trade: If you’ve been in this stock for the run up, I’d think about taking some off the table, says Patty Edwards.Cabot Oil And Gas popped

The catalyst: Although there was no clear catalyst for the gains, investors may be betting Cabot was oversold – on Friday March 30th shares were down about 18% ytd.The trade: If you want gas exposure, it’s a top name, but I don’t think it’s out of the woods yet, says Steve Grasso.Corn popped The catalyst: The USDA said corn stockpiles were lower than the Street expected, increasing concerns about tight supplies in the near-term. The trade: That’s bullish for the short-term but a government report also showed U.S. farmers will expand their corn plantings by 4 percent this spring to the largest in 75 years, explains Dennis Gartman.
